Mableton Student Ministries
With Mableton Student Ministries (MSM) our goal is to partner with parents in equiping students to grow in their faith and experience the "life and life to the full" Jesus spoke of in John 10:10. Our focus is on making memories, making changes and making young disciples who make much of Jesus. We make memories together every Wednesday and Sunday and during all of our events throughout the year, creating bonds between a family of young believers and a committed community of adult volunteers who have a passion for relationally ministering to students. We challenge students to not be stagnant in their faith and to make changes in their lives to grow in their relationship with the Lord and be transformed by the Gospel. Every event, study and conversation we have is geared toward making young disciples of Christ who will in turn go into their homes, schools, jobs and communities and make much of Jesus.
Students are encouraged to arrive early (8:45 am) and eat a free breakfast in the church cafe. Then, beginning at 9:15 am, we have small groups for our middle and high school students (the groups are split up by gender and age). Together we study The Gospel Project - a wide-ranging study that tackles the entire Bible through a Christ-centered perspective. We strive to teach in a way that allows the students to take theological truths and apply them to their lives. We not only want our students to make Godly decisions, but we want them to know why! Following small groups, the whole Church gathers for worship and teaching in the sanctuary at 10:30am.
Every Wednesday we go LIVE in the student center from 5:55pm until 7:30 pm. Typically students arrive around 5 PM to hang out and eat at our Family Dinner. At 5:55 pm we open the doors and go live with games, worship, teaching, prayer and small groups. All of our students from 6th to 12th grade are gathered together for games, worship and large group teaching, but our small groups are divided by gender and grade. The focus at MSM is to address issues that our students are going through with regards to their grade and life experience from a Gospel-centered perspective.
We believe our MSM events are second to none and provide a unique opportunity to show students the "life to the full" Jesus talked about in John 10:10. Some of our special events during the year include our annual trip to Summer Camp, The Weekend, Middle School Mania, the Reindeer Games, lock-ins and many more trips, hang-outs and get-togethers.
